Civil Liberties Action
Their words. The source. The context.
On the Record is Civil Liberties Action’s public archive of consequential statements made by people and organisations influencing British public life.
Publication threshold: the discriminatory or exclusionary proposition must be clear from the words themselves. CLA should not need to supply an adjective or argument to make the statement appear discriminatory.
Inclusion is not an allegation of illegality. We publish the source, context and legal status so readers can judge the evidence themselves.
Our standard: source checked, context preserved, legal status made clear, no guilt by association and no party allegiance.
Resignations are not answers
CLA is asking Reform UK for an independent review of candidate vetting, complaint handling and leadership oversight, with published findings.

How we publish
CLA distinguishes political speech from unlawful conduct, allegations from findings, and association from attribution. Where a statement is controversial but no unlawful conduct has been established, we say so explicitly.
What happened next?
Follow responses, proceedings and outcomes tied to the exact statement or incident in each archive entry. The tracker distinguishes documented events, limited checks and reviews still outstanding.
